TWO CASES OF V.VULNIFICUS INFECTION WITH CUTANEOUS LESION

ABSTRACT
The 2 cases were admitted at emergency medical center of Chosun University Hospital from June, 11996 to July, 1996 . We performed an epidemiologic & microbiological study on the clinically confirmed Vibrio vulnificus cases. The result were as followed; 1) Microbiological culture study in 2 cases which were suspected to be V. vulnificus infection clinically. V. vulnificus was cultured in 1 case. 2) In the epidemiologic study of the 2 cases, the annual occurrence was in June & July. It occurred after ingesting raw fish in adult male with liver disease & alcohol drinking habits. 3) The patient improved that he was early treated with sensitive antibiotics.
